Chester Goes Coffee Crazy with Chester Coffee for the Chester Food and Drink Festival 30 March 2005 - Lattes, Mochas, Americanos and Cappuccinos are words spoken daily by most of the population. Whether it be a business meeting, shopping trip or just a treat, "grabbing a coffee" is a worldwide phenomenon. The tradition of the coffeehouse has spread worldwide and in Chester there seems to be a coffee house on every street corner. Chester Food & Drink Festival is continuing this love for coffee by teaming up with Chester Coffee Services to offer visitors to its Taste Marquee Italy's favourite coffee, Lavazza. The Taste Marquee will be open with over 60 exhibitors, celebrity chef demonstrations and competitions for the whole family over Easter Bank Holiday Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday 28 - 30 March. This coffee is present in over 70 countries worldwide with 14 billion cups of Lavazza coffee consumed a year. The Coffee stall is being handled by volunteers from Chester Hospice, and a percentage of the proceeds is being kindly donated to help with the Hospice's work. Chester Coffee is further supporting Chester's love of coffee and cafés by sponsoring the Best Café/Coffee Bar Award at the Festival's prestigious awards dinner on the evening of 31st March. While the gala dinner guests sit back and enjoy their evening, they will be offered the chance to sample the ''Twinings & After Dinner Mint' tea, after dinner mints and Chester Coffee's selected Lavazza coffee. Chester Coffee's Sales Director Howard Dodds is thrilled to be taking part in the Festival. He commented: "This is a fantastic opportunity for Chester Coffee to show our support for local companies, events and also support a very worthwhile charity, the Chester Hospice.
